How to insert an excerpt photo into the blog

Hello, I am a newbie and don't know how to sert an excerpt photo in the my blog posting using 3.7.15. Thank you.

Do you mean a featured image that will Oman excerpt? Set the image in the featured image in the post editor.

If that is not what you want please explain a bit more
