Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

[SOLVED] Error message expecting T string

I am posting my error message here in hope to get some help and resolve the problem. I am getting the following error message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<', expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or '$' in /home/content/50/8490750/html/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/functions.php on line 10

These are the events leading up to the error. Everything was working just fine before.

I have the current version of the Atahualpa theme installed. I commented out one line of code in the functions.php and saved. Then I started getting the error above. The line I commented out was line 711. I then realized this was not going to work so I un-commented and saved but I am still getting the error message above. I think the save took, not sure.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

OSX 10.11.5 WP 4.x Atahualpa(all) Safari, Firefox, Chrome
down load a new copy of the theme and unzip it and move the new copy of function.php up to the theme folder.

FYI, I did verify that the functions.php file was saved and the line I commented out is now un-commented.

add_theme_support('automatic-feed-links');

I am still getting the error message but only on some pages.
