Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA

There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Disable comments by category?

Wordpress 3.4.1, Atahualpa 3.7.7

When I'm posting an obituary, I would like not to have to uncheck the allow comments option for each obit. It's a pain right now because I'm adding a ton of them. I would like, in the Discussion admin section, to be able to enable or disable comments by category. I can't find a plugin that will do this.
