There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021
I have 3 categories, let's say they are A, B, and C. I want to show just the archives of category A on the widgets with the collapsible archive in wordpress.
Thanks for any help you can send my way.

I tried Extended categories plugin and it shows the list of category in the sidebar. Which is great! but is there a way that I can choose which category will show in the sidebar? And display its archive by year and/or month. thank you
well according to the page I pointed you to, it says you can
Quote:
Select which categories to show. (Requires WordPress 2.5.1 or higher).
so it looks like you can

Sorry I miss that option. Yes I already choose which category I want to show in the sidebar. Is there a way to display its archive by year and/or month. thank you .. Or I should edit the file?
You now have more experience with this widget than I do. I've never used it. You need to explore it and learn. You might see if the developer has a forun and can answer your question.
There are thousands of plugins and widgets and there is no way anyone can know them all
I'm happy to do it for you, or any personal customization or support. Send me a PM and I'll quote you my rate.

Hi there! I have a similar need and wondered what the final resolution of this was? Please direct me!
Here is my news section that displays only the posts in the category "news' and I want to create an archive page OR a widget that shows the # posts by month for just the category "news" (ID=7) (and then show posts in the category "news" by their tags would be even greater detail!!)
You can see Im playing around with widgets... http://www.brcps.org/category/news/
archive created by athualpa: http://www.brcps.org/beta-archives/
Help!

You might want to take a look at the List Category Posts plugin.
