Hi all,

I'm trying to build a fixed-width site which has two copies of the page menu bar - at the top it needs to be justified right due to some graphics, and at the bottom of the page it should be centered. I've noodled around with a bunch of variations on how to do this - the best possibility so far is to use the otherwise unused Category menu bar CSS on the bottom one. But when I try centering, the background color (using the CSS insert described at http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=2548) starts at the first menu item on the left and hangs off past the page border to the right on most browsers.

Any suggestions on how to best take care of this?

Answering my own question here...

I found the insert in the thread at http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=2283, and changing that to use class=rMenu2 (category menu) instead of rMenu1 (page menu) allowed me to get pretty close to what I was after - a second page menu in the footer using (most of) the category menu controls so it can be configured differently.

The only thing I haven't figured out how to do yet is to have it NOT display the dropdowns in the lower position. That's probably just a matter of switching something else in that insert to the category menu controls, but I haven't gotten to the bottom of that one yet. If you know how I'd like to hear.

if you want to play with the menu's I suggest you look at Ruthsarian's rMenu http://webhost.bridgew.edu/etribou/layouts/ this is what's being used. Good Luck getting them to expand up.
