I'm trying to put a graphic image (1500px by 800px) behind the entire body of a 990px wide site. I have been able to do that in "body text and links" with background: url(/wp-content/themes/atahualpa367/images/background-bf.jpg) no-repeat center top;

It works well, except that the image is blue and I would now like to change the entire background to the same blue. However, whenever I do that the graphic image is then behind the overall blue color and is no longer visible.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can achieve this? Am using Ata 3.7.1

Just add a background color to the background code. Here is an example.

background: #xxxxxx url(/wp-content/themes/atahualpa371/images/backgr.gif) no-repeat top center;
