Hello All,
I made some modifications to the original Montezuma theme design. - Circular navigation buttons
- Logo with hover change
- Large thumbnail with text overlay on blog page
I spent some time figuring out how to put iTunes and Amazon Affiliate links into it while still looking good on iPhone, iPhone4, iPad mini and Desktop. On iPhone, I had to hide the first Amazon banner so it doesn't look weird.
Here's the site I've been working on:
http://www.silverlakeartgarage.com/b...indow-display/
Thanks,
K

Wow, the circular nav buttons and the post title over the thumbnails are very cool. Thanks for sharing.

I like the circles looks like they are done with this CSS
HTML Code:
ul#menu1 li {
border: 1px solid #E2E3E5;
border-radius: 150px 150px 150px 150px;
height: 75px;
margin-right: 25px;
width: 75px;
}
#menu1 > li {
box-shadow: 2px 4px 20px -18px #000000;
}
#menu1 > li:hover, #menu1 > li.active, #menu1 > li.ancestor {
border-top: 1px solid #E2E3E5;
}
and you might want to add
HTML Code:
#menu1 a, #menu1-smooth a {
text-align: center;
}
One note, this will only work well with short menu names, something that will fit in the circle. 'Home' will work, but 'Track your order' will exceed the constraints of the circle.

Hey everyone, my website is almost ready. I got a lot of help from CrouchingBruin. if you want to take a look: http://www.trendpersmixmedia.nl/
I am still working on some things, social media icons will be put later and I am now trying to figure out how I can change the tag cloud, but I am quite happy with the result already

I am loving the diversity of this theme. Here are two very different examples I put together:
www.thestrapsaver.com
www.ItalianSchoolNJ.com
For the Italian School, the
client preferred the left sidebar vertical menu to a "horizontal, collapse to a sidebar". go figure!

JMS, those sites look great. The Italian school client didn't want some sort of mobile menu? On a mobile device (cell or tablet), visitors are going to have to scroll through several screens of menu items to get to the content. If not a mobile menu, then maybe use the push/pull classes that Flyboy elaborates on in this post so the menu comes after the page content on a mobile device.

Here's our site:
http://ladyeaglesbball.com/
Because most of our users (players, parents, and coaches) access the internet through their smart phones, it was important for us to have a responsive site. Thanks very much for the Montezuma theme; the first thing on Friday, when I get my paycheck, will be to make a donation.

That is brilliant - I have a new site which is just begging for a similar format - three columns and the ability to use one for a category menu. (By the way, there is a typo in one title Anti-inflammotary should be anti-inflammatory)
Could you share a brief outline how you achieve that? The prototype of the site I am working on is http://planning.alrewasvillage.co.uk and I'm struggling to figure out how to get the left-hand column in.
Regards
Will

qbuster - to add a left sidebar look at the virtual template 'index.php' and you will see a div surrounding the dynamic sidebar code. duplicate that and change the name (call it 'left sidebar'), put it before the 'content div and adjust the 'coln' class in each div so they add up to 12

Looks good well done.
Minor suggestion / feedback, if you're anal like me about "white space" in sidebars ...
You can create a "postformat" that includes a dynamic sidebar, then use a single widget in that sidebar that will output something 'randomised' ... e.g. an advert or an image. Then for every post that is listed, it'll be 'full width' with a different item to the right (or left, depending where you put the 'sidebar'). Here's an exampe, in case I've not explained well: http://misc.s-t-u-f-f.net/category/some/funny/
Downside is that you'd lose the first couple of non-random widgets you currently have in your sidebar. You could get around this by putting them as a header or a footer in 'category.php', 'archive.php', 'tag.php' etc. Not sure if that's too much trouble, not an issue for you, etc., but thought I'd share!

Wow, everyone's sites look great! I moved over to Montezuma after spending a year and a half using a premium theme. It looked nice, but ultimately it was way too robust for a personal blog that I don't update as often as I should . I really like the transparency of the Montezuma code and the thorough documentation. I myself am a bit rusty in that it's been a while since I've had to really play around with CSS & php (use to do it all the time when I made sites with Joomla).
No real complaints so far. My site is still a work in progress (I just downloaded the theme two days ago). Doing a ton of modifications with my back end since my old template had a lot of widgets and plugins that I am no longer using. Constructive criticism is welcome; but I may or may not be able to implement the suggestion!
