Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Hi Flynn & Everyone,

New to WP needs help!

Can't get Google Analytics to run with the theme.

I added the code to
See Theme Options -> HTML/CSS Inserts -> HTML Inserts: Body Bottom

but still I don't see it running. Google Analytics is activated but still see no visitors.

Do I also need to install Plug-in to get it running?

Plus, When adding the code to
See Theme Options -> HTML/CSS Inserts -> HTML Inserts: Body Bottom
Is this mean, you can track every page that I have? or do I need to add the code to every page?

here's my web www.crossxborder.com

Your advice and support will be appreciated.

how long have you had the code in place? 1 hour 1 day 1 week?

Thank you for the respond

I have set up the Google Analystic yesterday. This morning I checked and I have 'Check' mark on so seems like it's activated.

I now added the script to footer.php this morning. so it's been 5-6hours now.

If I add the script in footer.php, should I not add the script on Atahualpa's
See Theme Options -> HTML/CSS Inserts -> HTML Inserts: Body Bottom ?

I would suggest using ATO -> HTML/CSS Inserts -> HTML Inserts: Body Bottom ? instead of modifing footer.php. The reason is that the option is stored in the wordpress database so if you upgrade Atahualpa, the code will be there. If you put it in footer.php and then upgrade Atahualpa, you will have to edit the code again because you will have a new footer.php.

Juggledad,

Thanks for the quick advise.

I just deleted the script from footer.php and just used
ATO -> HTML/CSS Inserts -> HTML Inserts: Body Bottom

so I guess I just need to wait?

If I want to know about the how many visitor I had for other pages such as
www.crossxborder.com/service

do I also need to add this address on Google Analytics so I can track?

I'm hoping to track all of my pages not only to know whether people visit only the TOP page...

Adding the code to the HTML inserts will add it to all pages, and Google will figure out what it's doing.

If you're plug-in happy, you can alternatively use Google Analyticator to insert the code.

Also, on your Google Analytics account, you can have it check to see if the code is correct and active.

Adam,

thank you for the reply.

I checked at my Google Analytics account and it is showing as "Receiving Data".

I guess I just need to wait for few days to see the number then...
