Tell us how to edit the index.php to insert a banner between each posts?

OSX 10.11.5 WP 4.x Atahualpa(all) Safari, Firefox, Chrome
You don't need to edit the index.php, you can add code to the footer of each post. see ATO->Post/Page info Items

Ok. But here another problem:

Ignored my php code, even though the "Post / Page info Items" is written that: "In regular WordPress (but not in WPMU), you can use PHP code, too. Write the PHP code in the usual way, with opening and closing PHP tags. "

Code which I try to insert: <br /> <? Php echo adrotate_banner ('4 ');?> (using AdRotate)
