I am getting pages where the bottom looks like this: (see attachment)

Seems to occur when I click on the title (link) of a post, which then appears on a page by itself, with forward/backward links both above and below, but in this case with a dummy post "xxx" and then an addition set of f/b links at the bottom.

Ring any bells for anyone?

1) why are you on such an old WP version?
2) what do you have set for the navagation options?

I am behind on updates because I have a critical plugin that I have modified, so it's being hard for me to update that plugin, and thus I am afraid to update WP, since myt version of the plugin isn't warranted to work with the newer WP.

By suggesting "navigation options," you have spurred me to examine the Atahualpa section "Next/Previous Navigation" where I found the problem. Thanks!

If you have any helpful suggestions about segregating changes from code in plugins, that would be another big help!

That's where I was trying to stear you.

You should make a copy of the site where you can try the update. You can't stay behind for too long...
