WP 3.2.1

Hi, is it possible to have a sidebar colour with a different colour for the widgets.
See www.cleatormoor-tc.org.uk the R/H sidebar consists of 'Contact Us, Translate & Events Calendar etc' I wish each widget background to be blue but the sidebar colour to be white with the separation between the widgets showing white.
Can this be done and if so; will it survive ATA updates.

Thanks juggledad, I had tried using the widgets options but foolishly used color instead of background: I can now have the widgets with my selected color background but can the square edged boxes be rounded and with a different color border perhaps even a shadow; again without losing all on Theme updates??

juggledad your signature is correct and I thank you for it and your help.

For those who wish to see how I produced the rounded corners with a shadow at www.cleatormoor-tc.org.uk the following code inserted at ATA- Style Widgets-Widgets Container (background:#99cccc also placed in Widget Title Box):-
...........................................
padding: 5px 2px 2px 7px;
border-top: 2px solid #999999;
border-bottom: 5px solid #999999;
border-left: 2px solid #999999;
border-right: 5px solid #999999;
margin: 0 0 15px 0;
background: #99cccc;
-moz-border-radius: 10px;
border-radius: 10px;
.................................................. .
The above works in latest versions of IE, FF, Opera, Chrome.

Another CSS3 option is to replace your border code with the following but again be aware this will not show in some browsers.
HTML Code:
box-shadow: 5px 5px 10px #999;
