Hello!
I'm a new user and, though I've found here there is no need to use child themes, I have this question for you:
If I export my personal settings BEFORE an upgrade, will they continue working after a major update of Atahualpa? Or a child theme is always a safer choice?
Thanks, and keep up the excellent work!

OSX 10.11.5 WP 4.x Atahualpa(all) Safari, Firefox, Chrome
settings are stored in the database as options so unless you have made changes to the theme CODE, your settings will be fine.

With that in mind, I would suggest you not upgrade to 3.6 at this time. There are some issues we are trying to unravel. The upgrade works fine for some people, but for others they are having issues.

Thanks!
I'm working on a first installation, and I've used Atahualpa 3.6; I have some customization in mind and that's why I'm asking
