I always feel as though the Page Title takes up so much real estate on the page. But when I get rid of it, it also disappears from the menu bar, and the space at the top of the center column is still there.

I'd love to be able to somehow suppress the title, and move everything up, and still have the title show up in the menu bar.

Is this possible? Or is there some reason why this would be undesirable?

Thanks!

You can either make custom page titles with the atahualpa SEO options (do a forum search here, and you will find the info)..
.. or use the new wp 3.x menu system (a quick googlesearch on wordpress 3 menu tutorial will give you the info needed).

Thank you. I have hidden the page name, which I like much better, visually.

Can I now move all the content on the page UP about a half inch to fill the space that has been created?

You are welcome.

That shouldn't be too hard.
Can you give a link to the site, or better even .. a link to a page where you want to do this?

I'd actually like to do it across the whole site. Here's the URL: www.embodiedawake.com

Thanks again!

The pagetitles are totally gone and dont take up any space.
In other words, the gap and the removed pagetitles are unrelated.

It looks like the gap is caused by 2 things:
  • a 20px top-padding and 4px top-border for the post/page container
you can change that at: Ata > Style Posts & Pages > Post Container
  • a 10px top padding for the center column
you can change that at: Ata > Style & edit CENTTER COLUM

Tip: Firebug for firefox is a great help.

There is also a 4px top white border on your pages which will affect that space.

Sorry STB... I just read the first parts of the sentences. Glad this is fixed now.
