Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

For those of us who forget to hit the green button

I admit it. I make changes on the options pages, get excited about seeing how they will turn out and FORGET TO HIT THE GREEN BUTTON which Flynn so kindly made big enough so we shouldn't forget to press it. What I'm wondering is: Is there a line we could add to the code so that whenever we leave an options page the page saves our new settings without us having to press the green button. (This would also save a lot of scrolling down to press it when making a lot of changes)

The problem with that solution is that you would then have to build a cancel button in case you didn't want to make the changes. Also many would go to another part of the options thinking their settings would not be saved.

You are correct if it were made part of a release. If it is a line of code that we add deliberately then everyone would know not to leave a page before correcting their mistakes.

So what would you do if you made a lot of changes and then decided you didn't want them to be saved? For instance say your in CSS inserts and deleted a bunch of code thinking you were going to make some changes and decided this was not what you wanted.

It seems to me a way to cancel would be imperative.

Well of course that would be better. It would also be great to be able to change the setting of 'automatically save changes in options' from yes to no.

But if we never are given that I'd be happy just adding an auto-save line if it's possible.

because I'm OK with ripping out all the CSS changes below the last
/*----------------*/
and rewriting them seeing as I probably just added the changes at the end instead of deleting any. I think it would save a lot of time scrolling down and hitting the green button.
