Hello,
Are the dashboard texts of Atahualpa translated to Spanish?
If no: is this posible? (if yes: How?)
Thanks and regards,
Manuel

The same way as the regular theme files,
The first step would be to localize the bfa_theme_options.php file, see http://urbangiraffe.com/articles/loc...s-and-plugins/
The next step would be to translate it into Spanish, see http://urbangiraffe.com/articles/tra...s-and-plugins/
You would have to turn the texts in functions/bfa_theme_options.php from
array( "name" => "Homepage Meta Keywords",
"category" => "seo",
"id" => $shortname."_homepage_meta_keywords",
"std" => "",
"type" => "textarea-large",
"escape" => "yes",
"info" => "Type 5-30 words or phrases, separated by comma. Will be used as the Meta Keywords for (only)
the homepage. If left blank, no Meta Keywords will be added to the homepage.<br /><br />HTML: No<br />
Single and double quotes: Technically, Yes, but search engines might object to it. Probably better to avoid
quotes here."),
to
array( "name" => __("Homepage Meta Keywords","atahualpa")),
"category" => "seo",
"id" => $shortname."_homepage_meta_keywords",
"std" => "",
"type" => "textarea-large",
"escape" => "yes",
"info" => __("Type 5-30 words or phrases, separated by comma. Will be used as the Meta Keywords for (only)
the homepage. If left blank, no Meta Keywords will be added to the homepage.<br /><br />HTML: No<br />
Single and double quotes: Technically, Yes, but search engines might object to it. Probably better to avoid
quotes here.","atahualpa")),
You would not replace the other text including "options" => .... even though that contains some English terms. Or else more had to changed in other theme files as well.
The Atahualpa theme is about to settle (and not get many more changes) but there might be some changes to the admin area still in the next 1-2 versions.
The problem is that POEdit relies not just on the strings but also their occurence within the files including line numbers, and this may be a bit off at some places in a following version.
Ideally all terms would have to be separated completely into a separate Atahualpa file where terms only get added but never moved, I think. This is something I would have to do but never got around yet

Simplified Chinese translation is here. My site is here. based on version 3.4.4
I found a problem in functions.php line 636 and 637, you haven't put the "Delete" and "Spam" in atahualpa.po, cause some untranslated character in post page.

Has anyone tried this new plugin for translation WPML, demo at http://wpml.org/home/press-kit/? How do you like it? Do I need to go through the steps detailed, on Sep 26, 2009 by Flynn in this post, in order to have WPML plugin work correctly? From the demo it appears that you can localize within the plugin.

Dear developers,
Please find attached the .po and .mo files for Norwegian, nn_NO.
Please also note that there are two Norwegian languages, nn_NO and nb_NO, Norwegian nynorsk and Norwegian bokmål, respectively. Translations should not be labeled simply "Norwegian", and the language codes "no" or "no_NO" should not be used.
This file is for Norwegian nynorsk.
This file is up to date with the latest Atahualpa version as of 25 January 2010.
atahualpa-nn_NO.zip
Best regards

Is there a central repository for the translation files or do I have to go through all the posts to find one? I am searching for the latest Dutch version.
I am BTW willing to do some translating for the newest release if it is necessary, but I see that there should be a new Dutch version already. Where can I find it?

I have added a new German translation for Atahualpa 3.5.1 using the more formal «Sie».
See http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthr...5066#post35066
This translation contains two additional strings which are not handled by gettext in the theme's source code.
#: footer.php:31
msgid "Recent Posts"
#: functions/bfa_post_parts.php:55
