Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Bordering on confusion

Hi folks — newb that I am, I somehow cleverly managed to make the gray borders around my widgets/sidebars vanish. (I have NO idea what I changed — just visited the site in progress on another machine.)

I guess I'm a bit confused about how to reinstate them. Would it be under ATA/Style Widgets? Sidebars? Layout? (Told you I was newb!) Which field? Basically, I'd like to recapture the rounded, #eeeeee-colored borders around both left and right sidebars, and above the center area between the header and the lower horizontal bar.

The site: http://test.clubbo.com/wp/

Thanks a zillion.

Hi

Borders around sidebars:
go to

- Sidebars&Widgets
- scroll down
- customize each sidebar
- e.g. by adding: border: dashed 1px #CCCCCC;

"and above the center area between the header and the lower horizontal bar."
I'm not sure if I understand what you mean, but you can add borders:
go to

- Post & Pages
- Edit POST/PAGE INFO ITEMS
- and add whatever border you want, like border-top: solid 1px #CCCCCC;

To have roundend corners, add:
-moz-border-radius:5px;
-khtml-border-radius: 5px;
-webkit-border-radius:5px;
border-radius: 5px;

Widgets can be styled too, and you can use borders as well.
go to

- Sidebars and Widgets
- Style Widgets

Cheers

Thanks for the speedy reply!

Unfortunately, something seems more screwed-up than that. For example, when I enter:

padding-right: 10px; padding-left 5px; border: solid 2px #eeeeee;

...in the LEFT sidebar style field, there's no change. And I just noticed that there are 1px dotted borders between the bars that surround the page menu (see attached pic), even though the Style & edit Header Area's Horizontal Bar Styling fields contain no border settings at all.

Could something be screwing up these settings upstream from these fields?

Thanks!

Oh well, backing up a bit and retracing my steps. I'll check in again if I run into the same problem. Thanks for your help.
