We would like to hide the category "Authors" from the horizontal bar as well as the widget on the right...

Could anybody help on how to do this?

You could use the AVH Extended Categories Widgets which adds three widgets one of which let's you choose which categories will show.

Ok that did it for the sidebar but how do I remove the "Authors" from the Atahualpa horizontal bar ?
