Sticky Footer works differently in IE and Mozilla

I have this code, which I found in one of these threads (http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=917) , added to Style Posts and Pages / Post Container STICKY

div.sticky div.post-footer {
display: none;

My footer (comment line, etc) does not show up in IE7 for my Sticky post but it does in Mozilla Firefox. I dont want it to show in any browser. What am I missing in my code.
