Hello all,

Can someone please tell me why I have a gray box around the images in the kicker on my posts.

I have checked everything I can think of. I even copied my kicker code into a new stand alone html page and the box did not show up there so it must be a styling edit somewhere.

Please see it at www.societypagemag.com

Thank you

Chuck

So removing the code in: Various Content Items > Style IMAGES > did not do the trick?

Doubtful, I don't have any plugin that would effect post styling. I have a few for widgets.

By the way here is the code in the kicker box. Maybe the box appears because I am using a table?

<table><tr><td><a class="addthis_button" href="http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?v=250&amp;pub=marineceo"><img src="http://s7.addthis.com/static/btn/v2/lg-share-en.gif" hspace=5 width="125" height="16" alt="Bookmark and Share" style="border:0"/></a><script type="text/javascript" src="http://s7.addthis.com/js/250/addthis_widget.js?pub=marineceo"></script><script type="text/javascript">var addthis_config = { ui_cobrand: "The Society Page"}</script><a href="http://www.societypagemag.com/blog/?page_id=762"><img src="http://www.societypagemag.com/banners/properbutton.gif" hspace=15/></a></td></tr></table>%date('F jS, Y')%

Yes it is caused because this is a table. change your CSS Insert to this
HTML Code:
div.post-kicker table tr td,
div.post-kicker table {
background-color:red
}
and that should take care of it.

Thank you very much. I was actually just messing with that when you responded but I was not using the correct syntax.

It works now but still has a white underline. I will just change "red" to the background color so it does not appear to have a background.

Thanks again

PS I decided just to use the google calendar on that plugin problem I was having.
