Noob here. I want to change the color behind/outside my website (from white to black), but can't figure out how to do it. I can change background colors anywhere inside the site layout -- & all of the info I've found re "background color" seems to concern this issue -- but not the color outside of site layout. Seems it should be simple, but I can't find it. Thanks for any help.
I'd changed that to "background: #fff8cc;" but it only affected the background of center column.
But again, to be clear, I'm not trying to change the background of anything *inside* the layout container; it's the background *outside* the layout container that I want to change to black. Maybe "background" is the wrong word to use here -- all the background settings I've found only affect what's inside the layout container. What I want to change is the color that surrounds the site layout.
sorry, your right, that is the layout container, you want to set the background of the BODY so put a background: #FFF8CC; at ATO->Body, Text & Links->Body Style
