I'm new to Wordpress latest version and am running the Atahualpa theme.

I somehow added a category that does not have a little box beside it which allows me to delete the category.

So how do I get to this so I can delete it?

Possibly you renamed the "Uncategorized" category? That's the initial default category in WP and cannot be deleted.

And if there are no posts associated with a category, the category name doesn't show up on the live site, just in admin.
