I'm using Atahualpa 3.4.1 with 3 columns. I was following directions to remove the preinstalled meta widget by adding new widgets (according to the posts I read, it shows that I want to control the widgets). The meta widget was on the right, but I inadvertently put the new widgets on the left and lost my archives widget. Problem being, I can't reinstall the archives widget because it does not have an "add" button next to it on the available widgets list. Will resetting all 200 theme options fix this or is there another way? I appreciate any help at this point because I am a novice at this and have been trying to set up my blog for days now. It isn't driving me crazy anymore, though; I can walk from here.

Did some further searching and found a solution. For anyone that may encounter the same problem here is what I learned. I had changed themes and the widgets I wanted were lost somewhere between my old theme and my new theme, but my new theme recognized them as being there. All I had to do was switch back to my old theme for a moment, delete the widgets, save and then reactivate my new theme. Tada! All was as it should be. Hope this helps others.
