Hello. I'm trying to have some transparency in my header image (a .png) but my white body shows behind it. I take away the white but then the rest of the body, and also the area behind the menu, is transparent. Is there a way to have only the area behind the header transparent? Thanks for any help....

If I understand what you want, try adding this to the CSS Inserts
HTML Code:
div#container {background-color: none;}
tr#bodyrow {
    background-color: #ffffff;
}
div#bfa_page_menu {
    background-color: #ffffff;
}

Also I noticed your site loading slowly and looked at your background and header images. They are HUGE and should be optimized for web.

Wow. That worked like a charm. Thanks so much!
and thanks for the tip about the file size. I'll work on that.

One more question.
How would I do something similar to the footer? Is it even possible? Can i make the footer body transparent and add a custom white image to the footer with similar "artsy" angles?

Again, thanks so much. Ahatualpa FTW!

This is where you need to dig into tools like the firebug extension in firefox and play a little.
And take a CSS tutorial if your not proficent with css.

examine what I showed you and see if you can duplicate it or do something similar in the footer

Yeah, I basically know nothing about css. I'm very new to all this and it's all a bit trial and error.
It's clear to me how to make the footer transparent. I just have no clue how to insert a custom image for it's background. If you, Juggledad, or anyone is willing to indicate this, I'd be most grateful.
Thanks again for your help thus far!

CSS is mae up of two parts, the selector and the rules. You could use 'td#footer' for the selector and now all you have to do is figure out the css rule for a background image (google css background image and look at the w3schools site) Then play with it.

td#footer {
background-image: url(/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/Mfooter.png);
}

Juggledad, Thank you! And thanks for giving me just enough tips to help me figure it out without just telling me. That's what a real educator does. You just opened me up to css! I'm still working on the image but the above code works! Brilliant! Thanks
