Does Atahualpa 3.7.9 requires child theme or can i directly start working with theme options after installing theme..
AND
Is Atahualpa good for running ads?

personally, I don't think any site is 'good' for running ads - that said, ads are really not dependent on the theme. there is no 'built-in' theme option for ads because most people use a plugin and plugins are (for the most part) theme independent.
