calling php function in post footer

How do I call a custom php function in the post footer. I defined a function in the functions.php of my child theme, and would like to call it from the post footer from within ATO->Post Info Items->FOOTER:*

OSX 10.11.5 WP 4.x Atahualpa(all) Safari, Firefox, Chrome
You will have to add a new widget area to the footer, add a text widget to it. Put thephp in the text widget and install the 'xec php' plugin
