Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

What i am trying to achieve is to have 2 pages that operate where the content is dynamic. ie. home page is a blog tracking exercise progress, "page2" is a food journal that is updated like a blog. Basically a second page that only displays "food journal" category posts. I searched the forum and couldn't find anything like this. Thanks for any ideas.

There is a template in the gold forums -JuggleDad's multi column, custom query template -that would work. You create a page, assign the template to it, add a custom query 'category_name='food journal' and only the journal entries will show up. You can also have the results display in multiple columns.

The gold forums are available to members who have donated at least $20

perfect, I sent the donation to you. Could I add a similar query to not show "food journal" posts on first page?

what you do is create another page and set it as the front page, then use a custom query 'cat=-3' where you would change 3 to the ID of the 'food journal' category. If you wanted to exclude a couple categories, you would use 'cat=-1,-2,-3'.

there are a number of examples at http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_...ce/query_posts
