Remove paragraph after H1 in static page?

I would like to remove the <p>,</p> and maybe also the <br> from the <div class="post-bodycopy clearfix"> so that there is less white space between the H1 text and the next bit of text. Can you please tell me how to do this?

OSX 10.11.5 WP 4.x Atahualpa(all) Safari, Firefox, Chrome
This isn't a theme issue - other than styling - WordPress adds the <p>...</p> automatically for each paragraph. The <br> you might be able to edit out of the post (use the HTML editor)

If you want the <p> to have less space, you could change it's hight with a CSS Insert
