Is it possible to add a JQuery slideshow to the header image or just below the header image?

I'm using version 3.6.1

Have you tried adding the code to the Configure Header Area Box?

No. Configure Header Area Box is for CSS and styling code. I want to enter Javascript code to do jQuery sliding. You can't do that there.

ato->Style & edit HEADER AREA->Configure Header Area
