Requirement :
I have a "Video" category among others for my blog .
The latest Video category post should appear on my homepage. On the homepage, the size of the video should be smaller while in the post, it should be bigger. I do not know how to get it to the homepage though I can successfully get it into a post.
Note that I want the video on my homepage by writing code/plugin-code in CONTENT ABOVE THE LOOP section by using the below :
<?php if (is_home() || is_front_page()) {
// Write Video code here
}

Any help will be appreciated.

Here is an easy way to create an announcement box on the landing page (wether it be the blog page or some other page) that will display a post based on the category the post is in. The beauty of this is that if there are no posts in the category, the box will not be displayed.
