Use the WordPress menu system and create a custom menu item called home with a link to the site you want as in this screen shot.

yes you are correct. What l was hopeing to achieve was that when you initially entered the blog it was highlighted like the hover telling people the page you were on or had entered to. Currently it is black

Hmmm, for some reason it has the class of 'current_page_parent' but nothing is current_page.
How did you build the muni?

Except the page the home menu is pointing to is not the page you are on. I am not real clear on what you are trying to accomplish with all the top menu items going to another site.

I may have gone off in a tangent curent view of the site http://www.direct-voiceanddata.com/news/ has the home page highlighted as current. This is by entering Home into the "Home" link in the page menu bar but i am unable to link this page to point this to a url. I therefore created a menu as suggested by lmilesw and this then allowed me to enter the URL but it is not showing as currect page. In this task i have two sites and from one site l am going to a blog page ( l am learning wordpress) but then trying to return(home) to the origional site with a URL link on the home page

I followed the link above from lmilesw however it does not show the active page. The the plugin "Page Links To" it helped but need to find out how to make my "home" page the current link

Ata 3.6.4

www.coscowichan.ca - I want a main menu link to
www.coscowichan.ca/generation/

The customers wanted two completely separated wordpress sites for reasons of their own.

Here is a screenshot of how you associate the menu you created with the %pages

If you uwe the WordPress Custom menus (dashboard->settings->menu) you can create a menu and add in menu items with external links. I've done this in our church web site to link between different sites within the church (main site, music site, preschool site) I added all the exernal links to one menu and use that as the Menu 2 (%cats) for all the sites (duplicated on each site of course)
