Underneath my header, I have a thin blue bar with the word "uncategorised" to the left hand side of the bar, can I remove that, Regards, Mick.

that is your CATEGORY menu. If you want it gone, just remove %cat from the header configuration.
The 'uncategorized' category is the default category wordpress assigns to all posts

Thanks for that, all done, could you answer why I had to create a new page for my opt in box to appear, when I inserted the same code in the post it of the home page it wouldnt appear, Regards, Mick.

without knowing how you created it, there are two many possible reason. for example, if you had a caching plugin active, you might have been looking at the old page.
