I still can't figure out how to change the outermost background color. Here is my site. I am trying to change all of the white outside of my content to be a color or tiled background.

That is configured in ATO>Body, Text, & Links. There are instructions there for adding a background image as well.

Right now in that area I have background: transparent. The area I am wondering about is outside of that area, and is currently white on my website.

Change from transparent to the color you want.
