I have the excerpts function switched on but the excerpted posts on the homepage still show pictures. How can I remove the pictures on the homepage?

Atahualpa version 3.5.3 and WP version 3.0.2. I have put all ATO-options to: Only Excerpts . Some pictures are indeed excerpted and some are not.

I have left this area blanc. At the moment I am working offline (with Apache server). The excerpted posts (which show pictures) show more that the specified 55 words.

if that is blank, then all HTML - including any <img...> - code will be stripped from the excerpt so you will see no images in the excerpt.

my suggestion is to hand craft and excerpts you want as part of the post, that way you can control what the excerpt looks like.

You mean handcraft it within the WP posts edit area?

yes, it will always use that first, then it will use the atahualpa auto excerpt if the post excerpt doesn't exist.
