Is there anyway to do this? I'm not looking forward to starting over, especially since I'm moving all my blogs from Typepad to Wordpress.

And, no, there is no simple way to do that move. At least that I've found. I'm just going to export/import the posts which is supposed to bring over the comments, etc. The real pain is the pix, but the heck with it. I'll either not bring them or, one by one, download to my computer, then re-upload to WP. (Even went through Typepad "customer service" hell to verify that TP won't export photos for easy upload to WP. But, then, why would they?)

Looking forward to being outta there! Any help with copying the customization would be great -- thank you. I'm a pretty good basic HTMLer but not a tekkie by any means, lol!

When I have run the importer for WordPress at one point it asks if you want to download and import all attachments or something of that sort. Maybe the TypePad importer will do the same.

As for the customization you will need to do that in Atahualpa.

Yeah, it will import most everything but not photos. Huge bummer, but there it is.

If you want to copy the Atahualpa settings from one site to another, you can use the 'Export/Import Settings' Atahualpa option. This won't help moving content, just the look and feel of the sites
