Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Change theme code header from XHTML 1.0 Strict to XHTML 1.0 Transitional?

Hi everybody.

I know this sounds absurd, but I would like to change the DOCTYPE header declaration from XHTML 1.0 Strict into XHTML 1.0 Transitional.

Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
The reason I am asking this is that I would like to be able to use "new windows" links, but XHTML strict does not allow them. Since I use the site for educational purposes, I'd like it to validate under W3C.

Would such a change cause any problems in your opinion?

And, which file should I edit change the DOCTYPE for all the new pages of the blog?

Thanks for your attention
