Space between post in home page

I have another blog with wordpress 3.1 and atahualpa 3.4.9.

In my home page,only the home page, I want to redure the space:
1. between posts
2.betweem the Post title and the date .
3.between the category Urgent and the next post ( see my image file)

You can see in the image file an example of my homepage. My client wants to put more posts in the home page( with excerpts).

I've made a change in ATO --» Post & Pages ---»Style Post & Pages --» Post Container and byline box. But it changes also when I see the complete post.Is there any other place where I can change the space only in the homepage ?
