Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

How do I get the menu to show on home page?

I've never worked with this theme before and someone has asked me to step in and do a few small tweaks to their site.

There's no menu on the page designated as the static 'home' page, so one must click and 'enter the site' link to get in. Surely there must be a simple way to have the menu show on this page?

Thanks in advance for any assistance. =)

go to ATO->MENU 1 (Page Menu) - do you have anything in 'Exclude pages from Page Menu Bar?'

Hi Juggledad,

Thank you so much for your response!

The page called 'welcome' is what we set as the static home page in 'reading' under the settings.
I removed this page # from the "exclude from page menu bar" in the theme options. So, now the menu bar on all other pages correctly includes the tab called 'welcome' BUT, the actual welcome page does not show a menu bar at all.

What I want is for our static welcome page to show the menu bar so that you can use it to navigate into the site. I hope this clarifies my problem more clearly. My menu is present on all pages EXCEPT the welcome page. (I did try creating a new test page and it seems that whatever page I designate as the 'static' page in the settings does not include a menu bar.)

Thank you =)

There are several possible ways this could be done. And as I see that the Atahualpa link in the footer was removed, yet you are not a gold member, I can only surmise that you or someone else has modified the theme code.

You could upload a fresh copy of the theme to remove any coding changes that have been made to the theme code.
