I saw a thread recently about displaying a custom widget on just one page and I can't find it any more. It basically said something about creating the custom widget, then hiding it on all pages, and then overriding that and displaying it on just the one page. I can't quite get the code right, so I'd like to refer back to this thread.

The easiest way is to use a plugin such as Display Widgets or Widget Logic.
