There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Greetings
Have tried to have the "Comments are Closed" statement removed per the options under Post/Page Info Items as follows:

%date('F jS, Y')% | %tags-linked('Tags: ', ', ', ' | ')% Category: %categories-linked(', ')% | %comments('Leave a comment', 'One comment', '% comments', ' ')% %edit(' | ', 'Edit this post', ')%

where the quotes are left after removing Comments are Closed. Unfortunately this is not working (including trying 'dontshow'). Atahualpa 3.4.1 on WP 2.9.2.

Have a number of 'static' pages where I just would prefer that this isn't visable. www.rebelwomencafe.com Help/suggestions most appreciated.

thanks, Shelley

ok, found something a few levels deep in the forums that might be the answer
http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=3572

Problem I have is that on some of the Page Pages, we have comments enabled whereas the 'static' pages such as About, Contact, Store, etc do not have comments enabled. So, I'm thinking that we can have one or the other and not both - any comments? thanks

In order to have comments on PAGES, you need to do two things
1) at ATO->Style & configure COMMENTS->Allow comments on "Page" pages, too? set to YES
2) on each PAGE check off 'Allow Comments.' in the discuession section

if 'Allow comments on "Page" pages, too?' = YES and 'Allow Comments.' is checked
comments and comment form shows up
if 'Allow comments on "Page" pages, too?' = YES and 'Allow Comments.' is NOT checked
if there are comments, they show but no form,
if there are NO comments, just text 'comments are closed' shows
if 'Allow comments on "Page" pages, too?' = NO and 'Allow Comments.' is checked
no comments or comment form shows up
if 'Allow comments on "Page" pages, too?' = NO and 'Allow Comments.' is NOT checked
no comments or comment form shows up

Hi Juggledad
thanks so much for your reply - will be giving that a try today (sorry for the delay in response, took a break for the Olympics - hard to miss when it's in your home town :-) )
