Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Hello,

I spent all of last night looking for an answer for this question rather than ask but nothing I found worked.

My host (who is terrible and I am switching off of) deleted my ENTIRE blog yesterday and then built it back from cached pages from scratch. Only thing is he didn't set up my Atahualpa correctly.

http://democralypsenow.com/

That is the link. I cannot figure out how to get my header image to fill the entire top (like not have white sides) but I used to have it like that.

When I first signed into filezilla after he restored the site, I went to public_html/wp-content/themes/atahualpa344/images/header folder and there were a bunch of images in there. Per instructions, I deleted all images and put only the one I wanted. When I have one image in the header part nothing comes up. I only get this image when I put three different copies of the header in the folder.

Then I changed the min and max in the style tab (as suggested by Juggledad in a post) but it is not working. Please advise. I think maybe its padding but not sure. Any help is much appreciated!!!

Thanks

What happens if you set it to static width the same as the header? I have to ponder about the three pix needed.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did try that but it still cuts it off. Does it have something to do with layout container style? Or maybe the Opacity style and width? I cannot for the life of me remember what those where set to.

It now works with one image that is 250 height and 1440 width but even when I set no min and max width to 1440 there are those white blocks on the side.

Any ideas??

Okay, the problem seems to be with some sort of coding that the guy did when he tried to restore the site. I had to rename a correct sized picture--so I am not sure where he specified that the name had to be dNOW_header.jpg but that explains why it worked when I had three images in (if that was one of them!).

If anyone knows where that specification is located that would help out for future kinks. Still trying to figure out how to restore back to original.

THANKS SO MUCH!

what confuses me is that the settings are stored in the database. If he restored the database, everything should be there. It sounds like he rebuilt everyting from looking at the old cashed pages.

I would make your first priority moving to a new host!

this should be a lesson to you that you need to do periodic backups of the database and your wp-contents folder. If you had them, you could recover quickly.

If you don't have much content, I would suggest starting from scratch since you are never going to know when you might hit something that he screwed up recovering the site. Ie did he change any code because he didn't know that item 'a' should be put in folder 'x'.....food for thought
