Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

How Do I Implement a Sticky Footer

I found some tutorials online but I'm afraid to start messing with Montezuma as it's not a "pure" theme. Any suggestions?

Got it!!

Go to layout.css and add this into #footer-bg:

position: fixed;
left: 0px;
bottom: 0px;
width: 100%;

I don't claim credit for this. Thanks go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxzp00S2VKo

Nice find!. You could also do something similar for the top (#banner-bg) you will have to give it a background colr, a z-index and change 'bottom' to 'top and move the content down, but that would give you a fixed header and footer on the page.

Originally I was going to post a reply here with several methods of sticking the footer to the bottom, depending on the need.

But the post kept on growing, so I decided it's best to move it to a separate thread.

That way the very first post is a complete how-to for anyone else looking for this info. I included the above solution (with credits) as the first solution, and provided two more =)
