Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

After I upgraded to 3.6.7. all my header images were replaced with the default atahualpa images. This sounds like it is a bug, because I see no reason why the header directory should be rewritten during an upgrade. Or...

Whenever you upgrade a theme all the files and folders are overwritten. That is why we recommend a manual upgrade as explained in the Upgrading FAQ thread. All you need to do is reupload your images. to the header images folder. You will also have to reupload any other images you had in your atahualpa/images folder.

Thanks for your quick answer Imilesw. I replaced the header images, but my point is that it seems like a bad idea to overwrite the images directory during an upgrade. In my case, where I have several websites using atahualpa it is a hindrance to upgrading everytime a new versions gets out. It just seems so unnecessary to overwrite the images, or is there something I don't see?

I will do manual upgrades in the future, but only to avoid this kind of problem. And I will probably skip upgrades...

The over writing is a function of the WordPress automatic upgrade and the reason the header images have to be in a folder in the theme is a WordPress theme requirement.

I'd love to see them change the requirement....
