I don't understand why my header styling differs between static pages and pages which are posts?

I've been up and down and all around, and can't make them the same. They both respond to control in the "Style POSTS and PAGES" control panel - but the results are vastly dfferent!

Example type style:

padding: 0;
margin: 0;
font-size: 2.2em;
line-height: 1.5em;
font-style: normal;
color: #62627e;

would you point to a 'page' page and a 'post' page

That is as 'multi-post' page and as such, the post titles are links to the 'single post' pages and when you go to a single post page the title looks like a page page.

there is a seperate styling section for page/post titles when they are LINKS
