Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Help [SOLVED] How to Remove Compfight Attribution?

When you go to my website, seanlaurence.com, there's a list of each post and a summary. The summary is the first few sentences of the post. At the beginning of some of the summaries there's an unwanted compfight attribution. For example in the post, "For Those New to the Boston Startup Community" the summary says "Emery Way via Compfight". It's fine if the attribution is in the post itself. But I don't want it to show in the summary.

I circled 4 examples in a screen shot here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/16777087/Un...ionShowing.png

I'm using the Compfight plugin with Montezuma 1.1.3 and Wordpress 3.5.

I would check on the plugin's forum.

what you are seeing on the blog page is the excerpt of the post. The theme follows the wordpress default and strips all HTML from the excerpt. The begining of your post contains (on the full post page)
HTML Code:
<p><small><a title="The Way I See It #17, The world bursts at the seams with people ready to tell you you're not good enough. On occasion some may be correct. But do not so their work for them. Seek any job; ask anyone out; pursue any goal. Don't take it personally when they" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/71401718@N00/2970736472/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.flickr.com']);" target="_blank"><img style="border: 1px solid black;" title="The Way I See It #17, The world bursts at the seams with people ready to tell you you're not good enough. On occasion some may be correct. But do not so their work for them. Seek any job; ask anyone out; pursue any goal. and whe you strip out the html you end up with
HTML Code:
Wonderlane via Compfight
I don't know anything about that plugin but if you could move the image down further in the text you might avoid this.

Thank you, juggledad. I left the image where it was. But I took the attribution and put it at the bottom of the post. That did the trick!
