ATA 3.6.7
I am tearing my hair out, I cannot get google doc embedder plugin to open a .pdf file/s.
The post opens but the pdf does not.

I have used the embedder on a (ATA 3.6.7) test site and it worked. (ourcouncilwebsite.org.uk)


The pdf docs are not opening in www.cleatormoor-tc.org.uk on latest FFox or Chrome.
I have uninstalled - reinstalled the embedder and swore at it frequently but still no good.

Any and all of the docs shown under L/Hand sidebar "documents latest" should immediately open a pdf within the centre column of the page.

Can any one help please.

It looks like the Google docs embedder uses a shortcode which doesn't typically open in a sidebar unless you add a plugin to allow that. Is that how you implemented it... by putting the shortcode in a sidebar widget?

My description has confused you but thank you for your interest and let me try again.

The google doc embedder should open any of the pdf documents whose headings are in the LH sidebar.
The pdf should then open with a single click in the centre column of the page NOT the LH sidebar.
This can be seen at the test site www.ourcouncilwebsite.org.uk (which works perfectly)

For some reason the site www.cleatormor-tc.org.uk refuses to open the pdf

Both sites are ATA 3.6.7 with WP 3.2.1
I am reduced to considering that I have failed to set up ATA correctly for the cleatormoor site

Success it was the plugin NOT (my) ATA settings.
I added the following instruction with a space immediately following the dot pdf" force="1"
