JS script tag does not get rendered

Hi,

I am editing my post in HTML mode and want to use a js script tag to embed source code from Github but it does not get rendered.
Is this a bug or do I have to change any options?

The snipped is e.g.: <script src="http://gist.github.com/266163.js?file=TwitterExample"></script>
