I could not find the section where I can change the spacing between my header and the page bar.
The background behind the "home" and "about" text is overlapping the frame around the header section

If you go to Style & Configure Header Area, and under Configure Header Area, what do you have there?

%image %pages

If that's what you have, insert %bar1 inbetween the two, and scroll down until you see where to configure bar1. Put height: __px; and background: #ffffff; (or your color) in there too. That will give you your spacing.

That is...if I'm understanding you correctly.
