Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

I've searched through the forums however I haven't found one that I've clearly understood what to do. I'm trying to align the menu on the same height as the logo area, so that the logo area is on the left of the menu area.

However no settings in the Atahualpa Theme settings area seem to show this option. Can someone tell me what should I do or give me some tips on where I should look?

Thanks a lot!

Atahualpa puts the logo and menu's on different lines. If you want them on the same line, you could try creating a two cell new widget area in the header and add the logo code to one and the menu code to another.

Thanks for the reply, how do I create a simple new widget with the logo and menu in the same one? Do I need to know php to do so or is there a function in Atahualpa that allows this. I'm currently in the "Add new Widget Areas" and I sorta see what I have to do, however how do I proceed to create the widget itself?

Thanks

once you create the widget area you could add two text widgets in and add the html code you need there. You could even use the 'custom menu' widget that WordPress provides and build your own menu to use in it.

You could look at the source of a page and grab the logo area html from the page to put in the other widget.

This is something it will take you some time experimenting and playing with to get it to work. Once you step outside the theme options, it is up to you to start learning CSS and HTML to make the changes you want. If you have specific questions feel free to ask.
