Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

[SOLVED] Flickr Feed Gallery - Widget not displaying any pictures on my timberhouse.n

On WP2.8.4
Have installed and configured the Flickr Feed Gallery. Configure it with my Flickr photostream URL and put the Flickr Feed Gallery widget in the Right Sidebar.

The page renders with the title from the sidebar, but no images from the photostream.

When I view source for the timberhouse.net homepage it looks like it is correctly picking up the needed Flickr API info as follows:
<div id="flickr-feed-gallery" class="widget widget_flickr_feed_gallery"><div class="widget-title"><h3>Flickr Timber House</h3></div><span id='ffg_marker_span' style='display:none;'></span><script> var ffg_options = ['http://api.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne?format=json&jsoncallback=?&id=43 372128@N06&language=&tags=&tagmode=any','_t','4']; </script><style>.ffg_link_css {

The api call does return data on the pics, so am fairly sure the needed info is being provided to WP.

But no pics are displayed. Any idea how I can fix this?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

OSX 10.11.5 WP 4.x Atahualpa(all) Safari, Firefox, Chrome
have you tried it with the default theme?

I saw earlier posts that suggested doing that.. I know how to do it, but just wasn't sure if that was an easily reversible step. Is it?

sure, you can swap themes all you want. Most themes, Atahualpa included, store any settings they use in the wp-options table, so when you swap back to the original theme, all the settings will be there.

I tried the classic and the default WP themes.. neither of those presented any part of the flickr feed widget.. ie neither pictures nor the title for the widget (atahaulpa did show the title but not the pics)

After switching to the default theme, make sure to go back to the widget page and see that the widget is in the sidebar.

If it is not working with multiple themes, then you need to post on the plugin's forum since it isn't a theme related issue.

Jayson Chacko, author of the Flickr Feed Gallery WP plugin, graciously solved this problem while highlighting additional troubleshooting steps that new users like me should take. Please see below. Many thanks Jason!!

The Plugin works flawlessly now. Many thanks.

Note excerpt from Jason follows:
Dear Dave,

I have fixed the issues with plugin incompatibility. The problem was not related to Flickr Feed Gallery.
Here are some general comments on the site,

There are too many plugins and hence site is a bit slow. I haven't changed anything here since the site works fine.
(dd note: For troubleshooting, Jason suggested deactivating plugins, one at a time, to see if the problem went away)

The problem was with the theme used on the site. It included an obsolete version of jQuery and I fixed it.
All other JavaScript issues were also fixed (Related to other plugins).
Now everything seems to work fine.
