Gents please can u help.

I am trying to enable my right or left inner side bar on the Atahualpa theme i have tried to just add a widget to the a inner bar from the widget configuration and hoping the side bar will appear but i might be missing a very important step can any one help a frustrated person

did you look thru the theme options?

That setting is in the theme options for sidebars.
